Laura Kozier
Laura is the President and CFO of Associates West Commercial Real Estate, Inc. Her career began in the Bay Area in the real estate department for F.W. Woolworth Co. and later as the first Taco Bell Representative headquartered in Northern California. Since that time, Laura has represented tenants, landlords, buyers, and sellers in a variety of real estate transactions in the Bay Area, Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Denver market areas.
Laura is very involved in commercial real estate organizations and in 2009 served as President of the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE). Laura is also a candidate for the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Management (CCIM) designation. She is a firm believer in continuing education, physical fitness, and mind-challenging opportunities.
JoAnn Shapiro
JoAnn is the Executive Vice President of Associates West Commercial Real Estate, Inc. JoAnn began her real estate career in 1978 in South Orange County and relocated in 1986 to participate in development and sales of several successful real estate projects. She specializes in the sales and leasing of retail, office, restaurant, and investment properties.
JoAnn enjoys working on challenging assignments requiring insight and creativity. She has successfully completed several disposition projects for national and regional chain retailers desiring to sublease their excess space. She believes that her growing business originates from her devotion to honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
Member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE), Sacramento, California. Active participant in International Council of Shopping Centers (ISCS).
Mike Doukas
Prior to joining Associates West Commercial Real Estate, Mike was a partner in Kasparian-Doukas Real Estate Company in Sacramento for over 40 years. He handled the lease negotiations and site work for over 600 corporate stores.
Mike recently completed lease and sale transactions for Black Bear Restaurants and lease renewals for Blockbuster. As a native Sacramentan and licensed with the California Department of Real Estate since 1953, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the company as well as to his many friends and clients.
Brenda Miller
Brenda has specialized in the sales and leasing of commercial properties in the Sacramento area for over 16 years. She has represented landlords and tenants in hundreds of leases as well as completing numerous restaurant transactions. She was the top producing sales associate at Parker Stevenson Commercial Brokerage for several years and she also worked at CB Richard Ellis on the national pad program for K-Mart.
As a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) and as the Women's Ministry Leader at her church, Brenda's love for serving others and passion for the commercial real estate business have contributed to her great success amongst her clients and peers.
Peter Ross
Peter specializes in industrial land and industrial buildings in Sacramento and Placer Counties. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Prior to joining Associates West Commercial Real Estate, he was an Industrial/Land Specialist at TRI Commercial Real Estate.
A resident of Sacramento since 1936, he has been involved in the leasing and selling of commercial real estate since 1987.
Noël Smith
Noël specializes in office, retail, and investment properties. As a resident of the Sacramento area for almost 30 years, she has an extensive knowledge of the area along with many contacts. Her high level of professionalism and integrity has proven to be a benefit for her clients. She has represented landlords, tenants, sellers, and buyers in a variety of real estate transactions.
Noël is a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) and most recently served as Vice President on the Board of Directors. Noël is also a Foundation Board member of the Developmental Disabilities Service Organization and is active with Homeward Bound Golden Retrievers as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters. She has chaired a variety of fundraising events for a multitude of organizations.
